She was so devastated that she had her BlackBerry FedEx’ed to her.

Now I am curious how many of our readers have been in a similar situation. I know I make sure before I get into the cab to the airport that I always have my BlackBerry on me. I forgot it once on a business trip and it was a nightmare carrying my laptop around for critical emails. On the other hand when I go on vacation internationally I barely use my BlackBerry and usually have it turned off.

So have you ever been in the same situation? What did you do?

Fresh off their awesome support for our own birthday contest, Tether is doing a little celebrating of their own. Just one-year ago TetherBerry kicked off their service and changed the way we Tether on the go. They just let us know that they too are having a birthday and are celebrating in true CrackBerry style. The team at Tether is giving away six smartphones (3 BlackBerry and 3 Android devices) to some lucky winners. No catch and no hard rules to follow. According to dataoutages.com, many users are still having issues with both BIS and BES connections for the second day in a row. It seems like the issue is hovering around Wifi connections, where users are having data trouble when Wifi is disconnected. No official word on what the deal is or when it will be fixed, but hopefully it will get resolved at some point today. If you're having spotty issues with email, web browsing and BBM then this is most likely why. Drop a comment and let us know how data is working for you.

We first heard about VQ CarFinder way back in July of last year. Since then the app has come a long way, and has now been downloaded by over 100,000 users (and I'm sure plenty of those downloads came from CrackBerry). If you don't know about VQ CarFinder, it is a simple app that helps you remember where you parked your car. The app uses your vehicles built-in Bluetooth (or optional car charger) to note where you left your car, and you can easily access the app to find it again quickly. To help celebrate the milestone, the folks at VQ CarFinder are giving away 20 free licenses. All you need to do is leave a single comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at midnight PST. Also be sure to check out VQ Mileage Tracker, one of the first apps to automatically track your mileage and travel info.

The app is on device with OTA downloads and has some serious features that put it toe to toe with 7Digital’s music store.

Verizon just stated the obvious this week. They have proven in their test LTE areas that LTE is faster than 3G… I am super excited about LTE but what would be the point if it was not faster? They are claiming that their test beds are showing from 40-50mbps down and 20-25mbps up but in real life scenarios those go down to 5-12mbps down and 2-5mbps up. Those speeds are a nice bump up from EVDO Rev A. Anybody else can’t wait to get their hands on a LTE BlackBerry? Verizon is still scheduled to roll it out to 20-35 markets by the end of 2010. That is just a few months away!
