I've got to do some cleaning this weekend and in looking around my mess of a home office I noticed I had a pile of BlackBerry-related books lying around. So I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and while carrying them off to the bookshelf give them a few minutes of fame in youtube video primetime action. You can check out the video above for a quick look at BlackBerry books that will help you get BlackBerry smart. And for more info on each of the books mentioned in the video or to purchase, you can follow the links below:
Happy Reading! While you can usually find any answer you need for free in our CrackBerry articles or forums, books are always tend to be nice to have around and are especially good for those just getting their first device - step by step how tos and help make learning easy. And for BlackBerry Application development, the clear and precise instructions and theory are a big bonus. If you know of other good BlackBerry-related books out there you have read, you can make mention of them in the comments. Now go get BlackBerry smart! :)

Plus, it is now on hand at Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, Idea Cellular, Loop Mobile, MTNL, Reliance, Tata and Vodafone locations.

Talk about procrastination. My final Nokia review for the Smartphone Round Robin should have been up last Friday, but here it is a week late. Everytime I sat down to start writing it, I always managed to find a distraction compelling enough to pull me away. This one is definitely tough for me to write. For every other platform I've looked at over the past 6+ weeks that the Round Robin has been on, it has never been difficult for me to find something to say; in fact, I have had the problem of always having too much to say (apologies for some of those lonnnng articles). But writing is easy when you have strong opinions and I definitely had my viewpoints on the Droid, iPhone, Palm's WebOS and even Windows Phones - both for specific devices looked at and the platforms and where they fit into the Smartphone Hierarchy of Needs and the greater smartphone market.
Coming into the event, Nokia was the platform I knew least about. Though Nokia sells oodles of handsets around the globe, in the North American market their smartphone penetration is still pretty non-existent. Being unfamiliar with the devices, I had no preconceived notions. And after getting to know the devices and spend some time on them, I definitely leave the Round Robin with a better appreciation for what Nokia has done to date with their smartphones, but I'm still really sort of lost as to where they fit into the current landscape (especially in NA) and can't help but wonder what they're going to have to do in order to get some sort of piece of consumer mindshare and momentum. Read on for more Nokia thoughts!

It looks like former GPS great Nav4All will be calling it quits for good in just a few days. In an email sent to all 27,625,631 customers, Nav4All stated that their contract with Navteq was not extended and that they will be shutting down completly. Apparently they had trouble coming to terms with the Nokia subsidiary, and since finding another source in such a short time isn't really an option, that was that. In their email, Nav4All stated:
We greatly regret the fact that we have to suspend the operation of our service. With your help, we have developed Nav4All into a global product with 27.5 million users in 56 languages, in 5 years. This has made Nav4All the largest navigation supplier. This large number of users also has to do with the fact that Nav4All works on hundreds of ifferent mobile telephones of many makes such as Blackberry, Sony ricsson, Samsung, Motorola, Android, HTC, Nokia, LG, Iphone, Ipod etc.
We're definitely sorry to see this happen, but so it goes in the technology circle of life. If any current customers have questions or need more information, you can head to nav4all.com/support. Check out the full email after the jump.

Surprisingly as of late we've actually seen more official OS releases than leaks, but today we have an OS leak for both the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900. BerryMe has posted OS 5.0.0.464 for the Bold 9000 as well as 5.0.0.461 for the Curve 8900. If you're having a slow Friday, give these a go and let us know what you find out. No word of the good or bad, so drop a comment if you install on or the other. As these aren't official OS', use caution when upgrading your device. Hit the links below to download.

The program which is reported to be starting February 15th and will be offered FREE of charge to any customers with a BlackBerry Pearl 8100/8120 or Curve 8320.
